Deadly earthquake hits Indonesia
A powerful earthquake has struck the Indonesian island of Sumatra, killing at least 70 people and flattening hundreds of buildings. See the Beeb website for more details.
It is strange to explain this kind of disaster that has hurt the lives andd livelihood of Sumatra citizens, Indonesia. The relief should be given and search as well as rescue should be employed for the missed people. Also evacuation and migration must be given by humantarian aid to resile the adverse impacts ofearthquake. Then the preparedness of early warning should be pit in place to make no much further deaths and loss of properties once it occurs again. The mitigation measures of bothstructural and non structural such as zoning and building codes must be encouraged.
